Adding Guestfriend to your restaurant's Twitter page is easy.

Start by making sure that you're logged in to your restaurant's Twitter page on Twitter.

Once you're logged into the correct account, visit and log in to your account.

Once you've logged in, click Set up at the top of the screen:

Next, scroll down to the Twitter Messenger section:

Click the blue button that says AUTHENTICATE.

You'll receive a popup from Twitter asking whether you'd like to authorize Guestfriend to use your account. Click Authorize app

That's it! Your Guestfriend is now connected to your restaurant's Twitter page and is ready to start chatting with your guests.

Enabling Direct Messages on Twitter

In order for guests to be able to chat with your virtual host on Twitter, you'll need to enable Direct Messages on your Twitter page. Here's how to do that...

First, click on your logo at the top right corner of Twitter and select Settings and privacy.

Next, select Privacy and safety from the left side of the screen.

Scroll down to the Direct messages section of the page and make sure that the Receive Direct Messages from anyone box is checked.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save changes.

That's it! You're ready to start receiving messages from guests on Twitter.

Uninstalling from Twitter

If you'd like to temporarily remove Guestfriend from your Twitter page, follow these steps.

First, log in to Twitter and click your logo at the top right corner of the page. Select Settings and privacy.

Next, click on Apps from the list of settings on the left side of the page.

Scroll down until you see Guestfriend listed. Click Revoke access.

That's it! When you're ready to reauthorize Guestfriend, follow the steps at the beginning of this article.
